From DMs to booked and paid

The Opuluxe Moments homepage: 'Luxury Event Styling & Bespoke Decor' over film of a styled event, with Build Your Event and View Our Setups buttons.
The homepage, and step 1 of 13 on a phone
Build Your Event on a phone, at step 1 of 13: choosing the event type, from wedding to graduation.

Every enquiry used to arrive as an Instagram DM with no date, guest count or budget. Each one meant a long back-and-forth before Opuluxe could even quote.

The result

Enquiries now arrive with everything needed to quote, including any backdrop the customer designed, and deposits are paid online.

Next.js, Supabase and Stripe · 75+ pages · 800+ automated tests

What I built

  • Design-your-own backdrop

Something new for event styling: customers build their backdrop piece by piece on the site and watch the estimate update as they go.

  • Build Your Event

An enquiry form that collects the desired date, venue, guests, palette, budget and, inspiration photos to create a bespoke event plan.

  • Online payments

Every enquiry gets its own secure Stripe link, so deposits are paid without a phone call.

  • An admin portal

The owner edits prices, products, FAQs, policies and emails without needing a developer.

A backdrop designed in the browser: a teal arch cut with a floral pattern beside a painted Mughal-style arch panel, with plinths, candles, a vintage phone and a bowl of rose petals.
Designed on the site's backdrop designer
The same backdrop built at a real mehndi: the floral arch, the painted panel with the couple's names, plinths, candles and a bowl of rose petals on a marble floor.
The same backdrop, set up on the day

Plus a launch reel for their Instagram and TikTok, recorded on the live designer.

English tutoring for girls
Turnaround
2 weeks

Trusted before the first lesson

The first screen, on a laptop and a phone

A qualified English teacher was launching private tutoring. Parents needed to trust the teacher, see the prices and book a first chat, all from one link.

The result

Designed, built and live in two weeks, with every parent's question answered on one page.

Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS · 1 page, 11 sections

What I built

  • Credentials first

QTS, PGCE and an enhanced DBS check are the first thing a parent sees.

  • The whole offer on one page

Who it's for, how sessions work and answers to common questions, in the order parents ask.

  • Clear prices

Online, in-person and marking rates up front, plus a free 20-minute consultation.

  • A spam-proof enquiry form

Requests land straight in the inbox, with hCaptcha keeping the bots out.

The free-consultation form

Every section was laid out for a phone first, then opened up for a laptop.
